Project Details:
The OBX One project is a one-of-a kind event home, featuring a large open floor plan, marble floors and custom curved staircase. The home is 14,500 square feet and has 12 Bedrooms. This project was originally a remodel which transformed into a 'design build' new house project - keeping only the original pile foundation with new construction from joist up.
One of the goals of this project was to assess the original foundation to determine if it was suitable to be reused. Being able to keep the original foundation saved the owner money. The design needed to be structured to handle the additional loads of the interior finishes.
The OBX One received the 2022 Parade of Homes Winner for The Peoples Choice and Judges Award for Excellence.
